Japanese Kanji Dictionary
This convenient easily portable kanji dictionary, compiled by Kawachi Osamu, is one of a series of useful little dictionaries for the Japanese student.

The Japanese Kanji Dictionary shows you how to read numerous kanji and common kanji combinations - a MASSIVE 26,400 combinations are covered in one very conveniently sized dictionary. (The previous Kanji Readers Dictionary featured here dealt with just 6,500 combinations and cost the same as this one!)

The dictionary measures a little under 7" x 6" so it will slip easily into a bag and is packed with the following features:

  • A comprehensive overview of kanji and kanji combinations used in daily life, newspapers, business etc.
  • Each entry is given in bold black hiragana in "a-i-u-e-o" order.
  • Furigana readings accompany each entry.
  • Homophones are placed under the same entry.

Born in 1951, Kawaji Osamuto graduated from the Department of Japanese Literature, Toyo University, where he later obtained a doctorate in the same subject before taking up a Toyo University professorship specializing in Medieval Japanese literature.
